Multi-Dimensional Urban Spaces - The Final Enmore Dancer
I never posted my personal favourite of the Dancers (so far). Whoops! But while I'm planning on doing more Dancers, this is the last Dancer piece I do with photos from around Enmore. It helps that I had a great reference for this, a classic B-boy pose, transitioning from one move to another. I tried a couple of things with the colouring, mixing some of the shades in the legs. The more you enjoy drawing these guys, the more you want to experiment. So, the exhibition is over, bu

Robotic B-boys 2 - Electric Boogaloo
My wife loves an Electric Boogaloo joke, and it's highly unlikely that I'll ever have a more apt time to make one. Here's my second robotic B-boy dancer, busting moves in the neighbourhood of Enmore in Sydney. Like I said before, the photos I took around Enmore will keep popping up for these. Here's a closer look at the artwork of the dancer. It got a good response when I posted it on instagram, so I guess I did something right? #finishedart #hiphop #streetart #scifi #culture

"Different Worlds" Opening night!

New piece for the 'Different Worlds' show - The Dancers
This is a first for me - my first entirely digital piece! This is an extension to my Steampunk pieces, bringing them out of the traditionally Victorian Steampunk era, and into the early Twentieth Century. This piece, The Dancers, is set in the Roaring 30's (The 30's roared, right? Was that the right decade?). The Statement accompanying the piece reads, "In the early Twentieth Century, mechanicals started to identify with groups who were marginalised like them, such as African

Celebrating DIversity: Components
Tomorrow night is the opening for the Celebrate Diversity competition at ArtSHINE! Me and a bunch of other talented artists are going to be there, doing our promoting diversity thing, and seeing who has won. If you're in Sydney, come along and, well, root for me. Obviously, the judges will have already made their decision, but I'll feel nice. Here, read the announcement: "Celebrate Diversity" Art Prize Exhibition 17 February- 06 March Opening: Thursday 18th February from 6.00

New Project: Celebrating Diversity
How's it going? Last time, I was showing you some sketches I'd been working on. This is what I was using them to develop: My entry for the ArtSHINE gallery's “Celebrate Diversity” Art Prize Competition. I'm going to go into more detail about the thinking behind this when I put up the final piece, but I will share ArtSHINE's brief: Our FIRST Celebrate Diversity Competition to showcase what artists can create in an A3 size. How would you define diversity? Our definition of dive
