I won! Celebrate Diversity - Opening Night & People's Choice!
So, I get to celebrate! Last night, I was declared joint first choice for ArtSHINE's Celebrating Diversity. I am incredibly happy about it, and want to do the cliche thing of thanking my wife and everyone who's supported me, blah, blah. I am really happy to share the prize with Girija kulkarni, and am also looking forward to sharing the prize with her - we'll be putting on a joint show at ArtSHINE later in the year. I'll keep the details updated here. Here I am with (l to r)

Celebrating DIversity: Components
Tomorrow night is the opening for the Celebrate Diversity competition at ArtSHINE! Me and a bunch of other talented artists are going to be there, doing our promoting diversity thing, and seeing who has won. If you're in Sydney, come along and, well, root for me. Obviously, the judges will have already made their decision, but I'll feel nice. Here, read the announcement: "Celebrate Diversity" Art Prize Exhibition 17 February- 06 March Opening: Thursday 18th February from 6.00

New Project: Celebrating Diversity
How's it going? Last time, I was showing you some sketches I'd been working on. This is what I was using them to develop: My entry for the ArtSHINE gallery's “Celebrate Diversity” Art Prize Competition. I'm going to go into more detail about the thinking behind this when I put up the final piece, but I will share ArtSHINE's brief: Our FIRST Celebrate Diversity Competition to showcase what artists can create in an A3 size. How would you define diversity? Our definition of dive

I sketch stuff: Faces
I'm getting some prep work ready for a project that will involve...well, faces. I'll put more details up very soon, but here are the faces - there's some in here I really like. #characterart #sketches #faces
