Mechanical lettering experiments - A
I started my new typography project with 'A' because, well, if you're starting an alphabet, that's where you begin.
I wasn't sure what type of lower-case 'a' to go for, so I did both, and asked for feedback on my instagram, which led to me combining the two version.
Here's the original sketches, which, like my Impirium sketches, I stuck into Photoshop, to digitally ink and clean up.
Here's a close-up look at the revised lower-case 'a', which is actually made entirely of maipulated parts of the first two versions.
